Feeding America / Idaho Food Bank Food Assistance
We are a “Choice Pantry” where we provide the best selection of donated healthy nutritious food. We give what we get and try to ensure the first person in line receives the same amount as the last person.
During distribution applicants are able to receive on “as needed basis” food provided by the Idaho Food Bank, local food drives business and community members.
USDA Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)
Income eligible & Idaho Residency is required to receive assistance.
This program provides emergency food to families that meet 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines Income Guidelines) and according to the size of the family. Food boxes consist of USDA commodities, by family size. These commodities are provided by South Central Community Action with the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In addition to the USDA Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) we are also a “Idaho Food Bank Choice Pantry” were as the only pantry in Jerome we provide food to the community. We act as the clearing house for many organizations, and are the first point of contact for the majority of the low-income citizens of the Jerome area. We actively participate in community food drives and encourage food drives on our behalf.
